Louis Groenewald

Managing Director, Financial Advisor: Short Term Insurance, Investments and Life Insurance

Louis is a seasoned insurance professional with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He graduated from Worcester High School in 1988 and earned his B. Econ degree from the University of Wilgenhof. In 1993, he began his career at Santam, where he also completed his ACII qualification, solidifying his expertise in insurance and risk management.

In 1996, Louis founded Hermitage Brokers, driven by a passion for providing tailored insurance solutions with integrity and excellence. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into a trusted name in the industry.

Beyond his professional achievements, Louis is an avid cyclist and has completed two ABSA Cape Epic races. He also enjoys golf, scuba diving, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.

Anél du Toit

Director / Financial Advisor: Short Term Insurance

Anél graduated from Worcester High School in 1982 and began her career at Santam. In 1993, she joined Du Toit, Esterhuyse & Van Lill as a Financial Advisor, where she managed their Short-Term Insurance division. During this time, she also completed a diploma in Computer Practice at Worcester College.

Anél joined the Hermitage Brokers team in 1997 and has been a dedicated member ever since. With decades of industry experience, she brings knowledge and expertise to the firm.

Theo Oosthuizen

Financial Advisor

Theo joined Hermitage Brokers in 2011. Having grown up in a region known for its wine production and farming, he developed a deep passion for Agri and wine cellar insurance. He takes great pride in understanding clients’ unique needs, diving into the details to craft tailored solutions. Known for his innovative and analytical approach, Theo thinks outside the box and explores unconventional solutions to ensure the best coverage for his clients.

Outside of work, Theo enjoys cycling and trail running, embracing the outdoors whenever he gets the chance.

PGDip in Financial Planning

Tania graduated from Huguenot High School in 1989. She began her career in the financial services industry in 1992. In 1994 she was appointed as Accounts Executive for group benefit schemes with AFAS (Pty) Ltd, which was later incorporated into Glenrand MIB. In 1997, she moved to Port Elizabeth and joined South City Brokers (Pty) Ltd in their group risk division. In 1999, she established the medical aid division at South City Brokers and expanded this division to their Johannesburg branch in 2000. Tania joined Momentum in 2003 and broadened her experience in 2013 with Discovery Consulting Services Stellenbosch. She joined Hermitage in 2016 as a financial advisor for investments, retirement planning & risk planning for both individuals and businesses.
